Universidade Portucalense was present at the launch of the Erasmus+ ECOViP project “Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Ecotourism to support sustainable development in Vietnam and the Philippines,” which took place at Nha Trang University in Vietnam from 10 to 14 July.

Over the next three years, this project, co-funded by the European Commission and coordinated by the University of Nha Trang, aims to develop entrepreneurial and innovation skills for the sustainable development of tourism in Vietnam and the Philippines, as well as to develop a roadmap for the improvement of tourism education programmes, with the guidance of the private sector.

The consortium for this project is made up of 11 universities from Austria, the Philippines, Portugal, Spain, and Vietnam, as well as a tourism agency in Vietnam and an ecotourism association in the Philippines.

Universidade Portucalense coordinates “Staff training” and is in charge of designing and presenting a training plan. The university was represented at the presentation by Makhabbat Ramazanova and Marília Durão, teachers and researchers from the Department of Tourism, Heritage, and Culture.
