This diploma confers the qualification in Master in Management (120 ECTS) or, with the conclusion of the 1st year, Specialization in Management (60 ECTS).
The completion of the Master’s in Management (120 ECTS) allows access to the Order of Economists.

The Master is organized in 2 semesters that correspond to the curricular structure, plus 1 year dedicated to the preparation, realization and presentation of the defense of a dissertation, or internship report or project work.
The course is equivalent to 60 ECTS for the curricular part and 60 ECTS for the preparation, realization and presentation of the dissertation, or internship report or project work, which makes a total of 120 ECTS credits in the following scientific areas:

According to the Regulatory Norms of the 2nd Cycle of Studies in Management, candidates may apply:
- Holders of a bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics or related areas;
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, conferred in the context of a 1st study cycle in Management, Economics or related areas, organized according to the principles of the Bologna Process by a state that adheres to this Process;
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree in Economics, Management or related areas that the Scientific Council recognizes as meeting the objectives of the degree of licenciado for entry in this 2nd cycle;
- Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that the Scientific Council recognizes as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies.
Candidates for access to the 2nd cycle in Management are ranked on the basis of merit according to the weighted average, as per Annex II, of the Regulatory Norms.

2ND STUDY CYCLE
- Holders of the bachelor degree or legal equivalent;
- Holders of a foreign academic degree conferred following a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna process by a state that adheres to that process;
- Holders of a foreign academic degree that is recognized as meeting the objectives of the bachelor degree by the Scientific Council of Portucalense University;
- Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum which is recognized by the Scientific Council of Portucalense University as attesting to their ability to undertake this cycle of studies.
Given their academic and professional background, candidates may submit a request for Application for Recognition and Accreditation of Competences, which may confer equivalence to course units of the Master’s course. Holders of Pre-Bologna licenciado degree who have more than 5 years of professional experience in the area of the master’s degree may request the substitution of the dissertation by a detailed report on the professional activity according to the regulations in force.

- Application for Recognition and Creditation of Competences according to regulations in force (including syllabus and course loads of the subjects to which you wish to request equivalence and discriminative certificate (*) with the grades obtained).
(*) These documents must be authenticated according to the legislation in force (Decreto-lei 28 de 13/03/2000).

Updated CV(*) The documents must be translated into Portuguese, whenever they are not issued in Portuguese, English, French or Spanish and stamped by the consular service or presented with the Haia Apostille affixed by the competent authority of the State where the document originated.

Contact with business experience and practices in an academic context allows students to develop the most advanced skills to manage their own company and/or to make a significant contribution to the business world, through a broad, integrated and differentiating understanding of the main functional areas of organizations.
Incorporated in the course, the ON-THE-ROAD Program dynamizes a privileged contact of the students with companies. These challenge the students with practical issues, to present a resolution proposal. This innovative and differentiating project has strengthened student-teacher-company synergies.
