The academy and the businesses together in the teaching of Management

The new structure of the Master’s in Management has been adapted to the demands and challenges of an ever-changing, increasingly global and digital world, where there is a strong call for new business models and disruptive management tools. Aimed at training managers who make a difference in organisations, the Master’s in Management study plan covers such prominent and trendy areas as the conceptualisation, structuring and analysis of social networks, the use of business intelligence in management, crowdfunding, venture capital, technological, disruptive and open innovation, the new trends of 5.0 marketing, the possibility of testing business ideas, among many others.

The course confers 120 ECTS and lasts two years. The teaching period is concentrated in year 1, which is subdivided into 2 semesters with 30 ECTS each. The remaining 60 ECTS are obtained from the dissertation, internship or project work to be carried out during year 2.

The first year of the course provides a solid basis for the specialisation to be developed during the second year in a specific management topic, according to particular interests, in an essentially autonomous way, although benefiting from the accompaniment of specialised and dedicated supervisors, through the completion of a dissertation, or alternatively, an internship or project work.

Why choose this course?

ACADEMIA AND BUSINESS TOGETHER IN MANAGEMENT EDUCATION

In the Master in Management the learning process is developed in a philosophy of complementarity between the excellence of the academy and the real experience of the labor market, contemplating a large number of hours of classes in “Seminars” format for reporting live cases by several reference companies in different areas of activity, enhancing networking and employability of students.

Contact with business experience and practices in an academic context allows students to develop the most advanced skills to manage their own company and/or to make a significant contribution to the business world, through a broad, integrated and differentiating understanding of the main functional areas of organizations.

Incorporated in the course, the ON-THE-ROAD Program dynamizes a privileged contact of the students with companies. These challenge the students with practical issues, to present a resolution proposal. This innovative and differentiating project has strengthened student-teacher-company synergies.
