The “Innovation in Tourist Destinations” project was a finalist in the “Hospitality Education Awards”
Joana Quintela, Marília Durão, and Medéia Veríssimo, lecturers in the Department of Tourism, Heritage, and Culture, saw their work recognised in the 8th edition of the “Hospitality Education Awards” in the category of “Best Educational Project” for the interdisciplinary project “Innovation in Tourist Destinations.”
The distinction rewarded pedagogical innovation, particularly linked to implementation of active teaching and learning strategies and to the positive impact on the development of students’ skills.
With this recognition, Universidade Portucalense consolidates its commitment to preparing future professionals for the challenges of the labour market.
The Hospitality Education Awards ceremony took place on 25 September at the Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies.
