Executive MBA

Until July 31, applications are open for the Executive MBA 1st Phase: February 4 to July 31, 2025– Early Bird 2nd Phase: August 1 to September 30, 2025 In view of the natural evolution of the market, the Executive MBA aims to prepare professionals to carry out their duties using innovative, differentiating techniques and enabling a holistic view of the business, whether national or international. Portucalense Business School created the Executive MBA with the aim of training professionals of excellence, enabling them to reconcile their professional and personal careers with a view to growing in both areas. During the programme, participants will train their strategic thinking and critical thinking skills, with a strong focus on acquiring competences in the area of management. The Executive MBA is geared towards developing the skills most valued in the labour market, focusing on a strong practical component through real case studies, simulations in national and international business environments and exchanges of experience. The International Week is an integral part of the Executive MBA and, over the course of 5 days, participants will benefit from a teaching programme taking place on the ICN Paris Campus, as well as company visits organised by the Business School.

Using your free time in favour of others

José Júnior, 21, a student in the International Relations Bachelor’s degree, has been volunteering with the association “O meu lugar no Mundo” (My Place in the World) since last year, where he supports Form 5 and Form 6 children with their school activities, clarifying doubts and helping them solve exercises.

Women’s, Gender and Intersectionality Studies

Until 10 January 2025, applications are open for the Intensive Programa in Women’s, Gender and Intersectionality Studies. Application Period: 10 October to 10 January 2025 The growing global effort, within the framework of the UN 2030 Agenda, the Council of Europe and the Council of the European Union and through the EU Strategy for Gender Equality 2020-2025, has driven various initiatives and fostered interest in Gender Studies and Women’s Studies. This multidisciplinary and transversal course in women’s studies is an opportunity to gain skills and deepen knowledge of legal norms and institutions, from the point of view of different areas of knowledge that directly or indirectly refer to women and women’s rights, with a view to offering some legal support for a reading of reality and research in areas of legal and non-legal knowledge. The course takes place over ten sessions with different lecturers who hold doctorates in their respective fields. The second part of the last session is reserved for an informal discussion between the lecturers and students with the aim of debating some issues and methodological scope about the Essay they will have to develop.

Donating blood saves lives!

On 29 October, the Universidade Portucalense community is invited to take part in a blood donation campaign, organised by RES-UPT  together with the Portuguese Blood and Transplantation Institute. Blood is vital for hospital treatments and procedures and plays a crucial role in maternal and neonatal care. A simple gesture can save lives! The blood collection will take place between 2pm and 7pm, in rooms 205 and 206.

The Short Master’ Talent Management and Retention in Hospitality’ is designed to address the lack of specific training programmes for this sector, offering a unique opportunity for hotel managers, HR professionals, team managers and others interested in people management to acquire essential knowledge and skills. With a practical and targeted approach, the course addresses critical issues such as attracting and retaining talent, leadership, diversity and inclusion, happiness, and well-being at work, which are fundamental to creating high-performance teams and the sector’s success. Through dynamic teaching methodologies, such as real-life case studies and practical exercises, participants will be empowered to tackle industry-specific challenges, improve the performance of their teams, and drive operational excellence. The creation of this course meets the growing demand for qualified professionals in the tourism and hospitality sector, contributing to the development of leaders prepared to face the challenges and opportunities of today’s market.

Scholarship Award

With the main objective of supporting the training of specialized professionals and boosting knowledge and innovation, HPSC – High Performance Studies Center is awarding a scholarship (in the amount of the tuition fee) for the 1st edition of the Postgraduate Course in Clinical Fundamentals for Hospital Managers. Requirements to apply for the scholarship Academic qualifications – Degree level. Professional experience – The degree of suitability between the functions/activities already carried out, directly and/or indirectly related to the activities inherent to the Postgraduate Programme, will be taken into account.)
