
With a degree in Mining and Geoenvironmental Engineering, she swapped engineering projects for traditional Portuguese confectionery. Her educational background included the Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo in Porto and the Squires Kitchen International School in London. She was a Pastry Chef and owner of a production unit in Brazil and a Cakeshop in Portugal. Since 2000 she has been dedicated to handmade confectionery and pastries and since 2006 she shares her time between training and consultancy for hotels and restaurants.
