Heritage is inexhaustible, essential, remnant and every day created, complex and articulated, intended for contact with human activity and inserted in diverse and changing environmental conditions!
Conservation and Restoration is a contemporary activity, subsidiary to other technical-scientific disciplines, but also to various areas of knowledge, law and history, with obvious benefits for the maintenance of the material heritage. Conservation and Restoration has been dynamically designing rational methodologies, studies and criteria for the conservation and safeguarding of that Heritage, emphasising the link between memory and identity, increasingly gaining a place in the social conscience, imposing itself more and more on the ground in the management of that same Heritage, alongside political decisions or those resulting from economic development.
Conservation and Restoration is a discipline which re-establishes a permanent re-evaluation between knowledge and the heritage object and, consequently, between consciousness and the cultural object.
It is a challenge, a discovery and a responsibility, but also an honour for me, to participate in this process. I also invite you to come and participate in this fantastic process through active participation in the Master in Artistic Heritage Conservation and Restoration.
