Study Plan

The Master in Clinical and Health Psychology anchors its scientific and educational work in the research lines developed by teachers and researchers, integrated in research centers and also in I2P – Portucalense Institute for Psychology. The I2P includes two laboratories, the Cognitive Development Lab (CDL) and the Therapeutic Innovation Lab (TIL).

This course is particularly aligned with the TIL, which supports the efforts of developing new tools to assess distinct realities, and to develop new interventions. This lab has two main supporting structures, the Clinical Center and the Student Support Office. Both structures share a common goal: promote good health and well-being, in both an inreach and an outreach (i.e. to the community) perspective.

The developed research lines represent a contribution to the critical analysis and understanding of any material located in the respective area of expertise, and not a mere description of facts or organizations.

Ongoing Projects

A detailed description of the projects carried out or underway can be found on the coordinating page of the master’s degree in psychology (via moodle) and the I2P online page (https://inpp.upt.pt/).

By way of example, they may refer to:

  1. Reverting mild cognitive impairment using transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) as add-on for Cognitive Training (CT) – POCI-01-0145-FEDER-030280;
  2. Changing the course of social anxiety in adolescence: What works, why, and for whom – C492522605-00087032;
