Entering Higher Education was certainly a very important stage for my future.

After a challenging and confusing phase in which several questions and doubts were raised about which path to follow, my choice fell on UPT.

But then, what can I come to do with the Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) course?

The IEM has competences in the planning, optimisation and management of production systems of goods and services, appropriate to the current market demands, also enabling me to exercise other functions in the field of business sciences and information systems.

In order to allow students to obtain knowledge and develop skills in different domains, the IEM course prepares them in various areas such as Mathematics, Physics, Management, Economics and Programming.

We become aware that knowledge is not everything if we do not know how to understand, communicate and express. As such, I believe that UPT forms good professionals at an intellectual and personal level.
