Presentation
This course aims to qualify current or potential professionals in the area of People Management to promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030). Thus, this postgraduate course aims to present conceptual and practical content related to innovative practices in work contexts in People Management, aimed at implementing the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development. Students will develop their professional profile by learning the application of resources and techniques to deal with changes in organizational contexts, deepening the existing foundations for the elaboration of organizational diagnoses and the subsequent design of innovative organizational interventions. Considering the acceleration of deadlines for achieving the goals of the 2030 Agenda and the necessary organizational changes, organizations are progressively becoming aware of their role in achieving these goals and the necessary changes they must operate to continue to exist. Organizations that intend to invest in sustainability and socially responsible management are increasingly self-conscious about the consequences of their operation for society and nature. Therefore, they begin to try to reduce the creation of problems with their own functioning and invest more in solving and creating a positive balance in the world. In short, this course intends to support the necessary organizational changes towards successfully implementing the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development, intending to result in more qualified People Management professionals who fit the current job market.

Carreer Prospects

The course candidates must have a degree in Management, Psychology, Human Resources Management (HRM), Sociology, or equivalent or professionals with experience in the HRM areas. Above all, the course aims at professionals in Psychology, Management, and Human Resources Management with various levels of experience, nationally or internationally.

This course intends to support the necessary organizational changes toward the successful implementation of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development, intending to result in professionals who are more qualified and fit for the current job market.

Objectives

At the end of the course, participants are expected to know:

  • Identify and describe a multitude of innovative practices in People Management today;
  • Apply resources and techniques for the implementation of innovative practices in People Management to promote the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development;
  • Plan innovative practices that allow the monitoring of changes in work that may promote the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development;
  • Develop and support organizational intervention strategies to promote the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development in specific organizational contexts;

Academic Period:

The postgraduate course takes place online and starts on 11 October.

Friday from 6pm to 9pm and Saturday from 10am to 1pm

Diploma or certificate awarded

The course is intended to offer a final postgraduate certificate containing the final grade resulting from the two projects carried out during the course and the course load – only for students who participate in all course units (in the 2 semesters of the course).

The main lines of investigation to be developed in this course are related to the interactions between People Management and the contributions of organizations to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals proposed in the United Nations 2030 Agenda. Therefore, the course focuses on the best practices or innovative practices in the area of People Management that can contribute to a greater awareness of the role of the people manager as an agent of change, and the role of organizations, as an element of social cohesion, to promoting the 2030 Agenda.
