Labour Law

Registration for the 8th edition of the Applied Labour Law Course is open until 3 May. Considering the recent changes introduced in labour legislation as part of the Decent Work Agenda, this applied course aims to provide an up-to-date overview of the most relevant topics for businesses, legal professionals, managers, and workers. Key areas covered include termination of employment contracts, working time organisation, and employment contracts under special regimes. Given the economic and social importance of Labour Law, this course also aims to equip participants with a solid understanding of the topics covered, enabling them to meet the demands of practical application, whether in businesses or in the practice of legal professions.  

Post-Graduate Degree Clinical Fundamentals for Hospital Management

Until August 14, 2025, applications are open for the Post-Graduate Degree Clinical Fundamentals for Hospital Management Application Intakes: 1st application phase: April 27 to August 14, 2025 – Early Bird: 10% discount on tuition fees 2nd application phase: August 15 to October 10, 2025 With this postgraduate training, the aim is to provide hospital management with specific clinical concepts that facilitate and increase coordination between the different health professions in the governance of health institutions. The ultimate purpose of this training is to obtain gains in efficiency, effectiveness and effectiveness in the management of hospital institutions with increases in the quality of care provided to patients and, consequently, in their levels of satisfaction. This course aims to provide hospital managers or administrators with clinical knowledge that will help them make daily economic decisions. Since hospital managers or administrators have to make decisions on a daily basis that involve specific clinical knowledge, it is of the utmost importance that they have this knowledge.

Job Fair looks for talent

More than 30 companies and institutions are expected at the “Careers UPT” Job Fair on 26 March. This is an opportunity for final-year students and young graduates to find out about and apply for various jobs and internships opportunities. This edition will feature lectures and talks from different training areas about employability and the challenges of the first steps in professional life.

New Bachelor’s degree: Health Management and Administration

Promoted by Universidade Portucalense in association with the Polytechnic Institute of Health of the North – CESPU, this degree presents a differentiating curricular programme, with the mission of contributing to the training of leaders in Health Management and Administration, capable of building a more efficient, innovative, and humane sector. Call for Abstracts

The Call for Abstracts for the 13th Conference of the Lusophone Network of Urban Morphology (PNUM), which will be held on 25, 26, and 27 June at Universidade Portucalense, is open until 28 January. The conference, about the topic “Beyond Form: Territory and Societal Challenges,” has the following thematic lines: The challenges of territorial cohesion; The challenges of climate change; The challenges of the digital transition; The challenges of urban densification; Methodological challenges; The challenges of training/teaching; The new challenges of urban morphology. Attracting and Retaining Talent

Until 13 January, registration is open for the Short Executive Master in Talent Management and Retention in Hospitality. The programme addresses critical issues, such as attracting and retaining talent, leadership, diversity and inclusion, and happiness and well-being at work, which are fundamental to creating high-performance teams and the success of the sector. On 10 March the Short Master in Sommelier and Wine Global Market begins. This is a programme that offers a holistic view of the wine sector, with wine tastings and visits to leading companies.
