The +Sucesso@UPortucalense team brings together experts with proven competence and experience in managing teacher training and capacity-building projects in the field of pedagogical innovation and the collection and statistical analysis of student data for monitoring success and predicting dropout rates.
Economics and Management at Universidade Portucalense. She has a PhD in Management from the University of Glamorgan in the UK, where she taught and worked as a consultant for 6 years. In Portugal she worked for companies such as Arthur Andersen and Sonae Distribuição. She combines teaching with business and research projects. She is the author of two books (2015 and 2014) and regularly publishes research papers in conferences and scientific journals in the field of management and industrial management. Between 2012 and 2014 she was awarded a research grant by the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). Responsible for coordinating the +Sucesso@UPortucalense project.
General Coordinator of the +Sucesso@Uportucalense Project
With a PhD in Psychology and a Post-Doctorate in Educational Sciences (specialising in Educational Psychology) from the University of Minho, both funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, she is an Associate Professor and Director of the Department of Psychology and Education at Universidade Portucalense. She teaches in the areas of educational psychology, vocational psychology, research methodology and advanced data analysis. At Universidade Portucalense she is also a member of the Pedagogical Innovation Office and responsible for the Student Observatory. Her main areas of research include transition and adaptation to higher education, students’ learning, well-being and social and emotional development, and lifelong career development. She has more than 10 years’ experience supporting the implementation of Student Observatories in Higher Education contexts (e.g., University of Minho, University of Portucalense, University of Madeira).
Responsible for coordinating and implementing Axis 4.
PhD in Mathematics (specialising in Statistics) from the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Science and Technology at Universidade Portucalense, where she is President of the Pedagogical Council (PC) of Universidade Portucalense. She has extensive training and teaching experience in the field of advanced data analysis methods and statistics. He teaches in the areas of Statistics and Data Analysis and Mathematics. At Universidade Portucalense she is also the coordinator of the Master’s programme in Data Science. Her main areas of research include the digital transition in higher education and research into the development of predictive models for dropout and academic success in higher education.
She is responsible for coordinating and implementing Axis 3.
He has a PhD in Computer Science and teaches at Universidade Portucalense, where he holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Researcher in the areas of: Cloud Computing, ITIL, data networks and security in computer systems. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Science and Technology and Director of Information Systems at Universidade Portucalense Infante D. Henrique. He is currently a researcher at Research on Economics, Management and Information Technologies.
Responsible for implementing Axis 3.
With a PhD in Archaeological Heritage, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture and Urbanism Gallaecia, at Universidade Portucalense, where she has been Director of Admissions Services and Student Support Office (GAE) since May 2022. Between 2013 and 2021 she was Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Escola Superior Gallaecia, where she also served as Academic and Pedagogical Director. She previously held the position of Student Ombudsman at the same HEI. As part of her academic activity, she has participated in various national and European research projects, initially as part of the Research Centre of the Escola Superior Gallaecia and, as of 2021, as a collaborator with CIAUD.
She is responsible for coordinating and implementing Axis 1.
Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and Education at Universidade Portucalense. PhD in Educational Sciences, specialising in Curriculum Development. She has a degree in Education (pre-Bologna) from the University of Minho. She is the Coordinator of the Pedagogical Innovation Office (GIP) at Universidade Portucalense. She is currently coordinator of the Master’s in Innovation in Education and from 2015 to 2023 she coordinated the Master’s in Education Administration and Management at Universidade Portucalense. Her research interests include Teacher Training, Active Learning Methodologies, Project-based Learning (PBL), Education Administration and Management, Higher Education, Curriculum Development, Educational Assessment and Engineering Education.
Responsible for coordinating and implementing Axis 2.
She has a PhD in Educational Sciences, specialising in Curriculum Development, from the University of Minho, co-supervised with the Postgraduate Programme in Education at PUC-Rio, with a PhD scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology. She is a certified trainer by the Scientific-Pedagogical Council for Continuing Education, in the area of Curriculum Theory and Development. She has teaching and research experience in the field of Education Sciences, particularly in the areas of curriculum studies and institutional evaluation. She is currently the Project Manager for the +Sucesso@UPortucalense project.
He has a degree in Sound and Image from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Communication from Escola Superior de Música, Artes e Espectáculo, Instituto Politécnico do Porto. He specialises in Digital Communication and Marketing and also has professional experience in Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication. He is currently in charge of Digital Communication for the ‘+Sucesso@UPortucalense’ project.
Master’s student in Clinical and Health Psychology at Universidade Portucalense, working at the Student Observatory to monitor students’ development, adaptation and academic success.
