Universidade Portucalense welcomed students from Università di Parma (Italy), Estonian Business School (Estonia), and Grenoble École de Management (France) as part of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on “International Sustainable Management: Business Planning and Reporting” between 24 and 28 November.
Over the course of an intensive work week, students of different nationalities joined international teams and developed solutions to real challenges in sustainable business management, proposed by the companies Salvador Caetano and Vine Vinu. This practical approach strengthened the link between academia and business, requiring strategic thinking, analytical skills, and sustainability-oriented decision-making.
Conducted over the first semester, the BIP is based on a hybrid learning model combining synchronous and asynchronous teaching. Comprising six to seven students, the teams replicated typical dynamics of global business environments, fostering intercultural collaboration and teamwork in highly complex contexts.
Sustainability was at the core of the programme, with a focus on integrating ESG principles into corporate governance, developing sustainable business models, and adopting circular economy practices.
