Universidade Portucalense is set to host the 4th edition of the Luso-Brazilian Congress on Real Estate Law on 29 and 30 October, gathering researchers, lecturers, magistrates, lawyers, notaries, and real estate professionals from Portugal and Brazil to debate key challenges and trends in modern Real Estate Law.
Over the course of two days, the Congress will facilitate a multidisciplinary reflection on key issues for the sector’s development, through a series of panels focusing on contemporary real estate law, the economic analysis of law, contractual structuring, urban planning regulation, sustainability, notarial law, technological innovation, corporate structures, financing and investment, taxation, insolvency, and corporate restructuring. The programme also includes a session for the presentation of scientific papers.
The congress aligns with the research objectives of the Instituto Jurídico Portucalense, contributing to the study of property and asset legal relations, the mechanisms governing the organisation, circulation, and protection of assets, the risks associated with real estate investment, and the legal solutions applicable in contexts of crisis, insolvency, and corporate restructuring.
