General Description
Portucalense University Infante D. Henrique, UPT, is a private higher education institution, created in June of 1986, located in Porto. UPT is organized in five Departments: Law, Psychology and Education, Economics and Management, Science and Technology, Tourism, Heritage and Culture, that teaches 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle courses and post graduations, structured according to the Bologna Process. UPT aims to be a model in higher education, taking the advantages of the different department’s synergies. More than acquiring theoretical knowledge, the students have the chance to develop practical work and research projects, developing different kinds of skills that prepare them for jobs in future career and for living in a competitive global society.
Location
UPT integrates university’s campus of Asprela (Paranhos), the largest one in Porto, with about 30.000 students studying in 6 Faculties of University of Porto (Faculty of Sports, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Psychology and Education Science, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Dental Medicine); 3 Schools of Polytechnic Institute of Porto (Engineering, Education, Health diagnosis and therapy and Education); and still 2 more private universities: Nursing School of Porto and University Fernando Pessoa.

Travelling upon arrival by plane
The easiest and cheapest way to get from Porto airport to the city center is to take the metro (en.metrodoporto.pt). Line E (Purple) connects airport station to Porto city center. “Trindade” station, in downtown, makes connection with all lines. For the first time, you need to buy the card “andante”, reusable and rechargeable, and a title Z4. The trip takes around 30 minutes.
Make us a visit
The main entrance of the university (“Entrada”) gives you access to the 4th floor. Go along the whole corridor and take, at the end of it, the lift to 1st floor. When lift’s door opens, you’ll find “secretaria académica” (academic office) – We are inside, at Gabinete de Relações Internacionais / International Relations Office.
