II Luso-Brazilian Clinical and Interdisciplinary Seminar

The “Body between Pleasure and Pain” is the theme of the II Interdisciplinary Clinical Luso-Brazilian Seminar, which will take place on 18, 21, 22 and 23 November.

This event proposes to emphasize the uniqueness of the body and the experience of corporeality in its subjective, intersubjective, social and cultural dimension, through dialogue between psychology, biomedical sciences, arts and humanities.

The lived, expressive and creative body will be the object of analysis and interrogation from the point of view of its plural and unstable potentiality of suffering and fruition, of pain and pleasure.

The general hypothesis that constitutes the main thread of this Seminar considers that all affective and emotional phenomena are inscribed in the body and are modified in the dynamic relationship between subjects, symbols and bodies.
