The research within this cycle of studies is framed in the Portucalense Institute for Human Development (INPP) research centre. The INPP has two research units - the Cognitive Development Lab and the Therapeutic Innovation Lab.
The CDL supports research in the understanding of the bases of cognition and behaviour, seeking to use this evidence for promoting more efficient and inclusive learning processes. The TIL supports the work of developing new instruments to assess new realities and to develop new interventions. This laboratory has two support structures: the Clinical Psychology and Counselling Service and the Student Support Office. Both structures share a common goal: promoting the health and well-being of the internal community of UPT and that of the community at large.
This cycle of studies is more directly aligned with the CDL, addressing specific lines within the scope of Education for Citizenship and Inclusion, Promotion of Gender Equality, and Diversity and Education.
