Objectives

Know different approaches to integration of information systems
Identify the best approach to use
Know and characterize the following types of information systems: ERP, CRM, SCM
List the advantages of these systems
Know how to handle the main features of ERPs: SAp ana NAv and Sharepoint

Teaching Metodology

Different strategies of active learning will be used (group and inter-group discussion, videos, case studies and study visits), expository method, guided practice and project.

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit's objectives

Knowledge about different systems integration approaches / tools will allow students to know and understand the best situation to apply in real context. The detailed characterization of ERP, CRM and SCM will allow students to better understand the role of integrated systems in organizations and undersatnd the advantages of these systems.
The caraterization os integration tools (SharePoint) and of integrated systems, ERP, will allow students to be able to handle the main functionalities of ERPs: SAP and NAV and Sharepoint

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's objectives

For any of the first four learning objectives we will use different active learning strategies and the expository method. The discussion of group and inter-group students will be used to students understand the need for system integration and the different approaches to system integration. Case studies, visits and videos will help students to know, characterize and enumerate the advantages of the following integrated systems: ERP, CRM and SCM. The guided practice and the projects will allow students to know how to handle the main functionalities of ERPs: SAP and Microsoft NAV and the SharePoint (integration tool).
