Supervised Training 2017/2018

Objectives

The learning objectives of the course unit are the following:
1) To integrate the work team of internship hosting organization
2) To reveal responsibility, commitment and availability in implementing the stage tasks
3) To demonstrate an understanding of capacity, critical thinking and problem solving in new and unfamiliar situations in wide multidisciplinary situations
4) To show ability to handle complex issues, develop solutions and make judgments, including reflections on the implications and ethical and social responsibilities that result from those solutions and those judgments or conditional
5) To perform teamwork in an inter and trans-disciplinary perspective
6) To demonstrate technical autonomy, ethically sustained
7) To report findings, with knowledge and reasoning underlying either to experts or non-experts, clearly and unambiguously
8) Actively participate in the sessions of supervision

Recommended Prerequisites

To have the 1st cycle of studies in Psychology completed and at least 90% of the ECTS of the 1st year of the 2nd cycle of studies in Psychology.

Teaching Metodology

Semi-directive and non-directive methods, using knowledge exercises, reading activities, oral presentations and discussion.

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit's objectives

The definition of the psychologist role, objectives and planning of the internship activities meet the purpose of the integration of the student in the training camp.The presentation and discussion of the activities implemented, assessment tools and discussion of the strategies constitute opportunities to demonstrate the ability of understanding complex social interactions, apply critical thinking and problem solving competencies, develop systemic solutions and make evidence based judgments, including reflections on the ethical and social implications of the psychological practice.
The objectives related with teamwork in an inter and trans-disciplinary perspective and with technical autonomy will be promoted by continuous monitoring and different methodologies implemented in the internship by those responsible for guidance.
The wording of the internship report is consistent with the objective 7.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's objectives

The integration process into the work team of internship hosting organization, the autonomous and responsible behavior, committed to perform the tasks as well as proactive participation in supervision sessions, will be promoted trough the continuous monitoring activity of the supervisor over the semesters and the different methodologies implemented in the internship by those responsible for the guidance process.
Related with the objectives “demonstrate the ability of understanding complex social interactions, and apply critical thinking and problem solving competencies in new and wide multidisciplinary situations, demonstrate capacity to handle complex issues, develop multi-framework solutions and make evidence based judgments, including reflections on the ethical implications and develop a macro social epistemology that result from those solutions and those judgments, make teamwork an inter- and transdisciplinary perspective and demonstrate ethically sustained technical autonomy, supervision sessions will be held.
