Active teaching and learning methods will be used, involving independent work, tutorial guidance, and the implementation of the research project. Tutorial guidance sessions will be complemented with working groups that promote students’ active participation in sharing and discussing the progress of their research. For the students enrolled in the CU for the first time, the participation in the scientific meeting (10 and 11/03/16) is mandatory. The evaluation process involves the presentation of the dissertation before an expert jury, where students’ work will be evaluated for its technical quality, the form of the written work, and the public presentation, while respecting the standards set by UPT.
When applying to the public defense student must also provide a certificate attesting to his/her participation in the scientific meeting. The writing of the dissertation must be conducted in accordance with the respective standards for the format of the Master’s and PhD theses of UPT.
