Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit's objectives

Since students are expected to acquire psychological intervention skills in the different mental disorders associated with illness and pain, the program content, in a first phase, approaches the concepts of illness and pain, as well as the main pain syndromes, emphasizing an explanation of empirically validated intervention proposals for each problem.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's objectives

Since it is intended to develop competences for case conceptualization and design of interventions appropriate to each mental disorder, the teaching methodology goes through the explanation of theories that help the understanding of the problems, as well as the explanation of empirically validated intervention protocols. This knowledge will be applied by performing a assignmet work and oral presentation.
