Objectives

1. Apply the general principles, concepts and terminology of the current labor regime.
2. Assess the relationships established between the employer and the worker; Providing for their legal effects.
3. Resolve the vicissitudes of the employment contract.
4. Systematize the various forms of termination of employment contract.
5. Justify the importance of Collective Bargaining Instruments.
6. Explain the strike and the forms of composition of collective labor conflicts.

Recommended Prerequisites

Teaching Metodology

Expositive and interrogative method. Analysis and critique of legislation, as well as reference to jurisprudence and case studies.
Seminar (report of real-life cases by guests).
The evaluation comprises the oral presentation of work, written work, participation, and mini-test.

Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit's objectives

Chapter I allows the achievement of objective 1.

Demonstration of the teaching methodologies coherence with the curricular unit's objectives

To reach the first objective will be used the expository and interrogative methods, accompanied by the analysis and critique of legislation, as well as the reference to jurisprudence. The report of real-life cases by guests (seminar) is equally relevant to this objective.
In order to reach the second, third and fourth objectives, the use of the expository and interrogative method is maintained, and discussion and debate are encouraged. The analysis and critique of legislation as well as reference to case-law and case studies are also relevant for this purpose.
