Objectives

A.Identify, critically appraise and select strategies for organizations operating in different contexts
B.Critically review a range of academic theory in respect of strategic management and change management
C.Conduct an environmental and competitor analysis of a given organization or industry.
D.Critically evaluate strategies linked to responding to external environments and to core competencies
E.Assess an organization’s readiness and suitability for strategic change
F.Develop capability to structure, compile, critically select, summarize information, demonstrating logical and well-researched written and communications skills

Teaching Metodology

A. Expository method to present the theoretical component of the syllabus
B. Application of theories and frameworks to real life cases with discussion in the class-room (case-study method).
C. Discussion of the works presented by the students with indication of strengths and areas for further development
D. Seminars

The assessment is mixed, includes a final test (35%) and a project work (65%).
